Milan, Nov. 3 (LaPresse) – “The United States’ response to Iran’s rights and demands has not been convincing. They must respond fully and explicitly to the seven conditions set by Iran and implement them. Only under these conditions will the Strait of Hormuz be reopened.” This was written on X by Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Meanwhile, according to Axios, CIA Director John Ratcliffe is reportedly advising President Donald Trump not to resume the war with Iran or reach an agreement, but rather to allow economic pressure on Tehran to continue increasing. Ratcliffe is said to have told the US president that “a prolonged period of economic hardship will induce Iran to make greater concessions” and could also fuel enough domestic anger to threaten the government. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly support the same approach.
