Turin, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – The Ukrainian armed forces may have taken advantage of the ceasefire in Oleshky to reorganise their troops. This was stated to journalists by the Russian President’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, as quoted by TASS. Peskov responded in this way to a request to comment on statements from Kyiv, according to which Moscow’s forces had taken advantage of the lull in fighting in that area to strengthen their positions. “Rather, it would be appropriate to address these questions to our Ministry of Defence. However, it can be assumed with a high degree of certainty that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have also used this period to carry out an appropriate reorganisation of their troops and so on. This is an entirely normal practice in situations of this kind,” said the spokesperson. “I am not aware of the specific details and, in this case, it is best to contact the Ministry of Defence,” he added.
