Turin, 14 Sept. (LaPresse) – This weekend’s Russian attacks in Ukraine, one of which struck a train near the Polish border, are aimed at “dividing” Kyiv’s European allies and “intimidating” them. This was stated by the French Minister for European Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, on the sidelines of the European Arctic Summit in Finland. The attacks have “a very clear objective: to intimidate Europeans, discourage them and, above all, divide them”, he said, emphasising that the attacks took place “whilst Ukraine was hosting a major economic support forum, attended by numerous business representatives and diplomats from all over the world and, in particular, from Europe”.
