Frankfurt (Germany), 1 September (LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the stance taken by Moscow during the conflict between the United States and Israel that involved his country. “We appreciate and thank you for your stance at every stage, both during the period when fighting and acts of aggression were taking place, and under normal circumstances — when the United States was imposing sanctions on us — as well as at the United Nations and in international forums,” Pezeshkian told Putin during a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by Al Jazeera. Earlier, Putin had offered to continue supporting Iran, despite US threats against countries providing economic support to Tehran.
