Frankfurt (Germany), 1 September (LaPresse) – South Korea’s intelligence agency has stated that a summit between the United States and North Korea could take place at any time, citing possible signs of dialogue between Pyongyang and Washington. This was reported by the South Korean news agency Yonhap, which explained that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) made this assessment during a closed-door briefing with the National Assembly’s Intelligence Committee, according to reports from MP Youn Kun-young of the ruling Democratic Party and MP Yoo Yeong-ha of the People Power Party (the main opposition party). According to the MPs, the NIS also stated that Ju-ae, the daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, appears to be at a stage where she could be designated as his successor.
