Milan, 31 Aug. (LaPresse) – Israeli settlers stormed the Palestinian village of Burqa in the central West Bank this evening. Burqa Mayor Sayel Kanaan told the Palestinian news agency Wafa that some settlers broke into a home on the outskirts of the village and beat a woman and a child who were inside. The settlers also attempted to set fire to a tractor, a vehicle scrap yard and a sheep pen. According to Wafa, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrived at the scene shortly after the settlers and tried to quell the violence, but arrested only Palestinians, without charging any of the Israeli attackers.
