Milan, Aug. 22 (LaPresse) – “Ukraine’s proposals” are “outlandish” and “unacceptable” to Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, rebroadcast by Russian news agency Interfax. “The proposals we receive are sometimes, I would say, exotic and unacceptable. We are always ready for dialogue on peace, but only on the basis of the realities emerging on the ground,” Putin added. “The Kyiv regime is trying to prevent this situation from taking a catastrophic turn. The authorities in Kyiv are currently seeking, through intermediaries whose views we certainly respect, to find a way out of the current situation, which they themselves, I want to stress, have caused,” the Kremlin leader continued. “The Kyiv regime set itself the goal of damaging our economy, and we began responding to the enemy’s actions against our civilian, industrial and logistical facilities. Ukraine opened this Pandora’s box on its own,” Putin stressed.
