Washington (US), 22 Aug. (LaPresse) – The economic war launched against Iran does not mean that the US’s military options are limited. Donald Trump made this clear whilst speaking to accompanying journalists before leaving for South Carolina. “No, not at all. It simply means we’re waiting to see what happens,” said the President. “They have no money. They have no navy. They have no air force. They don’t pay their soldiers. They don’t pay their police. They have 350 per cent inflation. So we’ll wait and see how the situation develops,” said Trump. “Furthermore, we have total control of the border. We have total control. If you consider the blockade, we have absolute control of the entire region linked to the Strait of Hormuz, which also includes the surrounding land areas. They’d like to strike a deal, but in my view they’re not yet ready for the right one,” he concluded.
