Torino, Aug. 17 (LaPresse) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said that Iranian drones struck his personal office and the residence of the head of the security and intelligence agency. “Based on the information and investigations conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Directorate, it has been established that my personal office and the residence of the head of the agency were targeted today in Iranian drone attacks,” Barzani wrote on X. “I strongly condemn these reckless and unacceptable attacks and reiterate that they constitute a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region,” he explained, adding that the attacks “will not prevent us from continuing to carry out our duties and protect our citizens.” According to the regional government, there were no casualties.
