The media “must commit to accurately reporting that these people will be repatriated and that, therefore, the enormous, titanic effort they have made will have been in vain,” said the minister, who then highlighted the role of disinformation in the crisis. “Rumors, lies, disinformation: there are campaigns that target the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people, and these are often exploited by criminal organizations precisely to endanger entire populations,” noted Redondo, a member of the Socialist Party.
