The report also highlights severe damage to buildings in Quibdó. Images circulating on social media show the collapse of several houses and buildings in the capital of Chocó, in the north-west of the country. Local authorities have stated that they are still assessing the situation in the various municipalities. The Colombian Maritime Authority (Dimar) has ruled out any risk of a tsunami along the Colombian Pacific coast. The earthquake was also felt in Ecuador and Panama.
