(LaPresse) – The initial report from the Chocó Department’s Risk Management Office indicates that, so far, one person has died, 10 have been injured and three are missing following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake recorded in Colombia. The report also highlights severe damage to buildings in Quibdó. Images circulating on social media show the collapse of several houses and buildings in the capital of Chocó, in the north-west of the country. Local authorities have stated that they are still assessing the situation in the various municipalities. The Colombian Maritime Authority (Dimar) has ruled out any risk of a tsunami along the Colombian Pacific coast. The earthquake was also felt in Ecuador and Panama.
