Milan, 7 Aug. (LaPresse) – The Civil Guard in Ceuta today recovered the body of a young sub-Saharan migrant who fell into the sea whilst paragliding in an attempt to enter Ceuta illegally. The incident occurred at around 8 am this morning, when officers spotted a person attempting to reach the city by paraglider from the Benzú mountains, in the northern part of the bay. According to initial reports, the migrant had intended to land in an area near the northern border, but is believed to have lost control of the paraglider and ended up in the water. This was reported by El País. The body was taken to the Civil Guard’s Maritime Service facility.
