Turin, 6 Aug. (LaPresse) – The Iranian parliament is currently examining a draft agreement governing the Strait of Hormuz, which prohibits the transit of ships from hostile countries. This was reported by the state broadcaster Irib, as relayed by Al Jazeera, regarding the agreement between Tehran and Oman, which is reportedly in the final stages of being finalised. According to the draft, countries and individuals who “have caused harm to Iran” will not be granted transit permission until they have paid compensation.
