Madrid (Spain), 31 July (LaPresse) – According to initial estimates by the Spanish security forces, over 40,000 migrants have entered Ceuta illegally in recent days, the majority of them on Thursday. This is reported by El País. The current number of arrivals, which some sources estimate at nearly 50,000, represents an increase of almost 50 per cent of the enclave’s population, which stands at 83,600. If the figure is confirmed, it will be significantly higher than that recorded during the migration crisis in May 2021, when over 8,000 migrants flooded into Ceuta in two days.
