Tokyo (Japan), 28 July (LaPresse/AP) – A 7.1-magnitude earthquake has struck southern Japan. The quake affected the city of Kumamoto, on the southern island of Kyushu, and occurred in the late afternoon. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued a tsunami warning. The quake was centred at a depth of 10 kilometres below sea level.
