Turin, 22 July (LaPresse) – Tehran will consider the possibility of “striking infrastructure and bridges across the region”, after US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy a “bridge or a power station” every time Iran targets a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. “If the Americans target an Iranian bridge or power station, Iran will respond by striking infrastructure and bridges across the region, including energy facilities in which the United States has interests,” said a senior official in Tehran, according to the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim. “After the last ten days, the Americans should by now be fully convinced that Iran strikes wherever it decides to strike. Therefore, any such gamble on Trump’s part will once again end in failure for him,” the official added.
