This is what French President Emmanuel Macron said in his address to the armed forces on the eve of the 14 July national holiday, just hours before a new meeting of the Coalition of the Willing for Ukraine to be held in Paris. “The message we are sending to the world is this: yes, peace is our goal; yes, we hold freedom and justice dear; and yes, we are ready to fight to defend them at all times and at the cost of blood, if necessary,” declared the President of the Élysée Palace.
