Rome, 10 July (LaPresse) – Talks between Israel and Lebanon “will take place in Rome”. This was confirmed by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the meeting of the ‘Friends of the Western Balkans’ group at Villa Madama. “The offer has been accepted. If they want to go ahead with President Aoun’s visit to the United States first, that’s fine by us. We have offered our availability,” added the minister, referring to the latest reports that the talks in the Italian capital could be postponed due to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun’s visit to Washington on 21 July. “Then it is up to them – the Americans, the Lebanese and the Israelis – to choose the date,” he concluded.
