Washington (USA), 10 July (LaPresse) – Donald Trump has “left instructions” in the event that Iran should succeed in assassinating him, and the consequences for the Islamic Republic would be catastrophic. “I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” the president said in an interview with the New York Post, referring to Tehran’s plans to kill him. “The only thing is, I’ve left instructions: if anything were to happen, we’d have to literally bomb them with a force never seen before,” Trump said. As for reports that Israel had shared intelligence this week regarding a plot to eliminate the US president, Trump indicated that there is no new plan on Iran’s part, whilst emphasising that Tehran has wanted him dead for years. “No, no. Israel hasn’t found anything. No, no,” he said. “I’ve been number one [on Iran’s hit list] for a long time; that’s just the way it is, you know.” The president then added: “I hope you’ll miss me.”
