Turin, 10 July (LaPresse) – A 17-year-old girl has died in northern France whilst celebrating the national football team’s victory over Morocco in the World Cup quarter-finals. This was reported by ‘Le Parisien’, citing a source close to the investigation. The tragedy occurred last night in the centre of Aulnoye-Aymeries, a town of around 10,000 inhabitants in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region. The teenager was celebrating the ‘Bleus’’ qualification on the back of a lorry before falling and being run over by the vehicle. According to the Parisian newspaper, the driver “had several people on board for a parade”. The driver has been arrested and remanded in custody. Furthermore, according to a source close to the investigation, he was also drunk at the time of the accident.
