Brussels, 3 June (LaPresse) – “We cannot afford to rely on others for the technologies that keep our hospitals running, ensure the stability of our energy networks and safeguard our services. It is a matter of protecting our citizens, defending our interests and making our own choices. Europe has the talent, the excellence in research, the industrial base and the single market. Together, we must transform these strengths into technological sovereignty.” This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the presentation of the package on technological sovereignty.
