Houston (USA), 7 April (LaPresse) – The astronauts on the Artemis II mission have completed their record-breaking journey around the Moon, surpassing the distance record from Earth set by Apollo 13. During the flyby, the crew members – three Americans and one Canadian – were able to admire previously unseen images of the far side of the Moon with the naked eye, as well as a solar eclipse. The crew temporarily lost contact with Mission Control as they passed behind the Moon without stopping. The mission is now returning to Earth. Splashdown is scheduled for Friday.
