US: Plane crashes into fire engine at LaGuardia Airport: 2 dead

Turin, 23 March (LaPresse) – The death toll from the collision on the runway at New York’s LaGuardia Airport between an Air Canada passenger aircraft and a fire engine responding to another incident currently stands at two. This is according to NBC News, which reports that the victims are believed to be the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration, which has launched an investigation into the incident, stated that the aircraft was a twin-engine Bombardier CRJ-900 arriving from Montreal. The accident occurred on runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport at around 11.45 pm (local time).
