Iran, IDF: ‘Ali Khamenei’s plane destroyed in attack on Tehran airport’

Milan, 16 March (LaPresse) – Overnight, the Israeli Air Force struck and destroyed the aircraft belonging to Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) stated that the aircraft had been used by Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials “to promote military contracts and manage relations with Axis countries through domestic and international flights”. The military added that the destruction of this ‘strategic asset’ represents a severe blow to Iran’s ‘coordination capabilities’ with proxy groups, its ‘strengthening of military power’ and the regime’s ‘recovery capabilities’.
