Iran, U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: “This is not a one-night operation”

Milan, March 2 (LaPresse) – The Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, said that the war against Iran will not consist of a “single overnight operation.” “This is not a single operation carried out from one day to the next,” Caine stated during a press briefing at the Pentagon. “The military objectives assigned to Centcom and the Joint Force will take time to achieve and, in some cases, will be difficult and demanding work.” “We expect to incur further losses and, as always, we will work to minimize U.S. casualties,” Caine stressed. “I wish to express my deepest condolences and those of the Joint Force to the Department of War personnel killed and wounded in action so far,” he said, referring to the four U.S. soldiers who have died to date. “As the Secretary said, they are heroes and represent the very best our nation has to offer,” he added.
