Iran, hundreds of oil tankers and LNG ships blocked on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz
Milan, 1 March (LaPresse) – Hundreds of ships are currently blocked on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz. Al-Jazeera reports that at least 150 vessels, mainly oil tankers and LNG carriers, have dropped anchor in the open waters of the Persian Gulf, beyond the Strait, while dozens of other vessels are stuck on the other side of the bottleneck. The estimates are based on ship movement tracking data from the MarineTraffic platform.
