Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 1 March (LaPresse/AP) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced, speaking to Al-Jazeera, that the country’s new Supreme Leader – who will succeed Ali Khamenei, victim of US and Israeli raids – will be chosen “within one or two days”. He also stated that Tehran ‘has no intention’ of closing the Strait of Hormuz at this time, nor of doing ‘anything that could disrupt navigation within it at this stage.’
