Iran: Mamdani condemns US attack but avoids criticising Trump

Washington (USA), 28 February (LaPresse) – New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has described the US and Israeli attacks on Iran as a ‘catastrophic escalation of an illegal war of aggression’. In a highly critical post on X, the mayor said: ‘Americans don’t want this. They don’t want another war for regime change.’ However, Mamdani did not directly criticise President Trump, with whom he had a cordial meeting two days ago at the White House.
