DNA found on gloves near Nancy Guthrie’s home unknown

Milan, 18 February (LaPresse/AP) – DNA found on gloves discovered a few kilometres from the Arizona home of Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of NBC presenter Savannah Guthrie, does not match any samples in the US database. This was confirmed yesterday by the authorities, 17 days after the 84-year-old went missing. “There were no matches in CODIS,” said the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, referring to the Combined DNA Index System, the national DNA database. CODIS is an archive of DNA taken from criminal suspects or people with criminal convictions. The sheriff’s department said it is trying to enter the DNA samples into other “genetic genealogy” databases.
