Ukraine, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions in darkness after Russian raids

Turin, 26 January (LaPresse) – Due to night-time bombing of energy infrastructure, consumers in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions have been left without electricity. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Artem Nekrasov, quoted by Ukrainska Pravda, adding that repair and restoration work is underway. In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, he explained, “there is still a significant shortage of electricity. The situation remains difficult, with emergency power cuts in place. A return to the planned hourly power cuts will take place once the situation in the energy system has stabilised”.
