Washington, Jan. 22 (LaPresse) – Negotiations between Denmark, Greenland and the United States “will continue”. This was stated by Nato spokeswoman Alison Hart after U.S. President Donald Trump backtracked on the threat of tariffs following a “very productive” meeting with Secretary General Mark Rutte. Nato allies will focus on Arctic security through “collective efforts,” the spokeswoman said, as reported by CNN. “Discussions among Nato allies on the framework referred to by the president will focus on ensuring Arctic security through the collective efforts of the allies,” Hart said, “in particular the seven Arctic allies.” “Negotiations between Denmark, Greenland and the United States will continue with the aim of ensuring that Russia and China never gain a foothold, economic or military, in Greenland,” the spokeswoman added.
