Rome, 25 December (LaPresse) – ‘Let us pray in a special way for the tormented people of Ukraine: may the clamour of weapons cease and may the parties involved, supported by the commitment of the international community, find the courage to engage in sincere, direct and respectful dialogue.’ These were the words of Pope Leo XIV speaking from the Central Loggia of St. Peter’s Basilica during his Christmas message.
