Nuclear, Iran: ‘We are no longer enriching uranium at the moment’

Tehran (Iran), 16 Nov. (LaPresse) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Tehran is no longer enriching uranium at any site on its territory. ‘There is no undeclared nuclear enrichment in Iran. All our facilities are under the control and supervision’ of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Araghchi said, responding to a question from an Associated Press journalist visiting Iran, ‘there is no enrichment at the moment because our enrichment facilities have been attacked’. This is the most direct response so far from the Tehran government on the nuclear programme, after Israel and the United States bombed Iranian enrichment sites in June. The Iranian government issued a three-day visa to the AP journalist to attend a summit with other journalists from major British newspapers and other media outlets.
