Milan, 27 October. (LaPresse) – The leadership of Junts, the Catalan independence party of former Generalitat president Carles Puigdemont, has unanimously supported its leader’s proposal to break the agreement signed in 2023 with the PSOE that led to the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. The news was reported by party sources cited by the Spanish media. The decision is expected to be put to a vote by party members. The party will provide further details this afternoon. Junts believes that the PSOE has not respected the agreement. The issues still pending are the recognition of Catalan as an official language in the European Union, the application of amnesty to Puigdemont, and the delegation of powers on immigration to Catalonia.
