London (United Kingdom), 20 October (LaPresse/AP) – Buckingham Palace and the UK government are under pressure to formally strip Prince Andrew of his titles and force him to leave Royal Lodge, the luxurious residence where he lives, due to his links with Jeffrey Epstein. After discussing the matter with King Charles III, Prince Andrew agreed to stop using his titles, including that of Duke of York. But for many critics, this is not enough, given that he still technically holds the title of duke, conferred on him by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and as the son of a monarch, he remains a prince, a title he is entitled to by right of birth. Some politicians are calling on Parliament to formally revoke his dukedom and on the king to strip Andrew of his right to be a prince. Meanwhile, Andrew is in the spotlight following the publication on Tuesday of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, which details the allegations against him.
