Ukraine, Russian ambassador: ‘Italy should not be complicit in the theft of our capital’

Milan, 20 October (LaPresse) – ‘The Italian media are increasingly publishing articles on Italy’s participation in the European Commission’s plan to use Russian gold reserves “frozen” in European jurisdictions to grant the Kiev regime so-called “reparation credit”.’ This is what Russian Ambassador Alexey Paramonov said in a post published on the social media profiles of the Russian Embassy in Italy. ‘Any action not agreed upon with regard to the “frozen” Russian reserves will be considered theft by the Russian side, regardless of the pseudo-legal subterfuges of the European Commission, which are by definition null and void from the point of view of international and contractual law,’ he added.
