EU, Ribera: ‘Right time to eliminate time change’

Madrid (Spain), 20 October (LaPresse) – The Executive Vice-President of the EU Commission for a Clean, Fair and Competitive Transition, Teresa Ribera, has spoken out in favour of eliminating the twice-yearly time change in the EU, as proposed this morning by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. ‘Now is the right time to do it,’ Ribera said in an interview with TVE’s La2 channel. The Spanish socialist pointed out that in a survey conducted by the EU, the majority of citizens were in favour of having a single time zone without changes throughout the year.
