United Kingdom, Starmer: ‘Shocked by attack on Manchester synagogue’

Milan, Oct. 2 (LaPresse) – “I am appalled by the attack on the Crumpsall synagogue in Manchester.” This is what British Prime Minister Keir Starmer wrote in a post on social media platform X. “The fact that it happened during Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it even more horrific,” he added. “My thoughts are with the loved ones of all those affected, and I thank the emergency services and all first responders.” Starmer is returning from the Copenhagen summit to chair a meeting of the government’s emergency committee, known as COBRA.
