Flotilla: MEP Avs Scuderi among activists detained

Milan, Oct 2 (LaPresse) – “They captured me, let’s block everything! Israel has once again violated international law. We cannot remain silent.” This is what MEP Benedetta Scuderi from Avs said in a video posted on her Instagram profile, after being stopped along with others aboard the Morgana vessel, part of the Global Sumud Flotilla. “If you are watching this video, it is probably because I have been stopped and illegally captured by Israel. They intercepted us in international waters, violated international maritime law, targeted civilians delivering aid, and did so with impunity,” Scuderi says in the video. “This is a true act of piracy. We, the sea crew, and you, the land crew, have shown that a just world is possible and that we are willing to fight for it,” the MEP added.
