Michigan shooting death toll rises to four. FBI; “Targeted violence”

Washington, Sept. 29 (LaPresse) – The death toll from the shooting inside the Mormon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan, has risen to at least four people dead and eight injured, CNN reports. According to police, the shooter, former Marine Thomas Jacob Sanford (40), crashed a vehicle into the church’s front door during a service and began shooting, then intentionally set a fire that quickly spread. He was later killed by police, who claim to have also found explosives possibly related to the attack. According to Reuben Coleman, acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s Detroit office, which covers the entire state of Michigan, the shooting is being investigated as an act of “targeted violence.”
