Middle East, IDF: ‘Over 750,000 Palestinians have fled Gaza City’

Milan, 27 September (LaPresse) – According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), more than 750,000 Palestinians have evacuated Gaza City and moved to the south of the Strip so far. This was reported by The Times of Israel. ‘Gaza City is emptying because its residents realise that the military operation is intensifying and that moving south is for their safety,’ said Colonel Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman. ‘We urge you to move as soon as possible to the al-Mawasi humanitarian area and join the more than 750,000 residents of the city who have left in recent days and weeks for their own safety,’ he added. It is estimated that about one million Palestinians resided in Gaza City before Israeli troops launched their major offensive.
