Cybersecurity, further disruption at European airports

Milan, Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – Flight disruptions across Europe are expected to continue today following Friday’s cyberattack. Brussels Airport in Belgium has asked airlines to cancel nearly half of their flights. In a statement released this morning, software provider Collins Aerospace said it is in the final stages of completing the necessary software updates.

Brussels Airport stated that “the service provider is actively working on the issue,” but it remains unclear when the problem will be fully resolved. The news was reported by the BBC.

Yesterday, disruptions eased significantly at Berlin and London Heathrow airports, but delays and flight cancellations persisted.
