Tallinn, Sept. 19 (LaPresse) – “This morning three Russian MiG-31s violated Estonian airspace over the Gulf of Finland. NATO Italian jets promptly intervened and escorted them out. This is a serious and unacceptable provocation,” wrote Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna on X, announcing that the Baltic country has requested consultations under NATO’s Article 4. “Our response must be united and firm. Grateful to our allies and friends for their immediate support. Stronger together,” he added.
