Gaza, IDF: “Aid from Jordan stopped after Allenby attack”

Turin, Sept. 18 (LaPresse) – The IDF has reported that it recommended to Israeli political leadership a temporary suspension of aid transit to Gaza through the Allenby crossing, after a Jordanian citizen driving a truck loaded with humanitarian aid for the Strip carried out a deadly attack, killing two Israelis. This was reported by the Times of Israel. According to the Israeli Defense Forces, the flow of aid through the crossing—which connects Jordan to the West Bank controlled by Israel—should be suspended until investigations are completed and control procedures for Jordanian drivers are updated. A military official stated that aid continues to enter the Gaza Strip via other routes.
