Tariffs, von der Leyen: "We want an agreement, but every tool is on the table"

Brussels, July 24 (LaPresse) – On the issue of U.S. tariffs, “over the past weeks, our main objective has been to reach a negotiated solution. We want a negotiated solution. At the moment, we are having very intense contacts and discussions, both technical and political, but we have been clear for weeks about why we seek a negotiated outcome. All other tools are on the table and will remain so until we achieve a satisfactory result.” This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the press conference following the EU-China summit in Beijing.
