Ukraine: media reports that Patriot missiles paid for by Germany will be available in 6-8 months

Rome, 19 July (LaPresse) – The US Patriot missiles paid for by Germany for Ukraine will not be available for 6-8 months. This was reported by Bild, explaining that Switzerland is moving down the waiting list for Patriot systems, with the first unit going not to Bern but to Ukraine, at Germany's expense. However, this system is still being finalised by US defence company Raytheon and is not expected to be ready for six to eight months. To help Kiev more quickly, according to Bild, Germany is considering whether to deliver another Patriot unit from the Bundeswehr to Ukraine. The replacement would have to be ordered from Raytheon and delivery would take years.
