The Director General of National Security and Surveillance of the Moroccan Territory, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received Abdullah Fahad Salih Al-Owais, Vice President of Saudi State Security in Rabat on Tuesday

The Director General of National Security and Surveillance of the Moroccan Territory (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, received on Tuesday in Rabat Abdullah Fahad Salih Al-Owais, Vice President of Saudi State Security, on a working visit to Morocco at the head of an important delegation of safety.

According to “Barlamane.com”, the Saudi delegation includes the director of the Directorate-General for Combating Extremism and the director of the Directorate-General for International Conventions and Cooperation, as well as Saudi state security officials and experts, the DGST said in a press release.

This visit, which reflects the level of cooperation in the field of intelligence and security coordination between the DGST and the Saudi State Security Presidency, illustrates the common will of both sides to consolidate their ties in the service of security and safety of their citizens, the same source told “Barlamane.com”.

At the end of the visit, Hammouchi and Salih Al-Owais signed a cooperation agreement between the DGST and the Saudi State Security Presidency in the field of counter-terrorism.

The agreement concerns the organization and development of security cooperation and coordination in various areas related to the fight against terrorism and terrorist financing operations – the website continues.

The DGST and the Saudi State Security Presidency intend to “develop their security and intelligence relationships, to coordinate efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, with the aim of depriving terrorist organizations of any base of support, recruiting ground and financial resources,” the statement concluded.
