Drought and wind could fuel the fire again
(Lapresse) The vast fire that affected the area of Capo d’Arco, Rio Municipality, above the beaches of Reale and Barbarossa, has been brought under control today. Four helicopters and a canadair together with firefighters and volunteers took several hours to get rid of the flames. The same area had been the scene of arson fires last year, according to Civil Defense reports. Fears remain that wind and drought in the coming hours and into the night could fuel the fire again.
