(LaPresse) Astronauts from China’s Shenzhou-14 mission entered the Wentian laboratory module, which took off yesterday aboard a Long March-5B Y3 carrier rocket from the Wenchang cosmodrome in southern Hainan province. Wentian docked to the core module of China’s Tiangong space station after entering its planned orbit and completing some operations. The whole process took about 13 hours, according to the China Manned Space Agency (Cmsa). The new module will function both as a backup unit for the Tianhe core module and as a platform dedicated to scientific experimentation.
