Turin, 24 Oct. (LaPresse) – Jorge Martin will miss the Australian MotoGP Grand Prix. Following a crash on the eighth lap of the Sprint Race, the Spaniard has been declared unfit to take part in Sunday’s race at Phillip Island. This was announced by Aprilia. Martin was taken to the circuit’s medical centre after the crash and X-rays revealed, according to the team, “a fracture of the radius and a suspected fracture of the ulna at the distal end – that is, a confirmed fracture of one of the two forearm bones near the wrist, with a second suspected fracture also in the other forearm bone”. The rider will undergo further tests to reach a definitive assessment of his condition, but he has already been declared unfit to take part in the race.
